Summer Practice & Gameplay

Open to All - Returning Players and Those Looking to Try Out Lacrosse

The Summer program is open to players of age 7+ with any level of experience.

​

​Any player interested in seeing what lacrosse is all about are welcome to join a session.

​

Returning players are encouraged to attend as schedules allow to work on individual skills and re-engage with team play.

​

Registration will open April 21.

Times & Locations

The Summer program will begin June 11 and run for 3 weeks on Wednesday evenings, take a break for the July 4th holiday, and resume July 9 for three additional weeks, concluding July 23. These sessions are open to all players and prospects so bring your friends, teammates, cousins, and neighbors!.

We are using the Solon Recreation & Nature Area (700 W Sovers St, Solon, IA) on the field adjacent to the high school baseball stadium.

Sessions run for 5:30-7pm.

More Details

These are no contact sessions. Players will be given any needed equipment before each session.

The sessions will begin with basic drills to build and reinforce foundational skills. Attending players will then be divided into small teams for modified game play, allowing participants to employ what they have learned and have fun exploring lacrosse!

Kingfisher Lacrosse serves Eastern Iowa by providing training and competitive play opportunities for boys and girls. Kingfisher Lacrosse is the operational name of the Cedar Rapids – Iowa City Lacrosse Club, a volunteer led, 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2020.
